《地海古墓》是一部内容比情节要复杂的多的作品，或者说，它的意涵大于故事，它提出的问题大于解答，它在生命、存在、虚无、善恶等等母题上引导的思考与诘问，远大于它里面究竟发生了什么。所以这是一本不只该理解和接受，也值得自行思考、填充甚至反驳的作品，是一本需要也值得读进去，但也不那么容易的奇幻。而属于厄休拉·勒古恩的境界与风采，她为什么是当之无愧的世界级人文幻想女王，如果相性好，确实可以在这本《地海古墓》中得见。当然《地海》每一部都可以，也都不一样。值得体会的一点在于，《古墓》的整个故事及主角配角的人物塑造不仅没有划定绝对的“光明”“黑暗”“正义”“邪恶”，甚至他们的行为、动机本身就未必能够被某一单纯的解答所勘破，勒古恩给出的并不是绝对的答案与“真实”，而是某种视角，也对应着某种值得思考的问题。在此之上要思考和解答什么，其实也是属于读者的旅程了
